How to Name a Dispensary: 5 Rules for a Name That Lasts
A dispensary name is on your sign, your menu, your delivery bags and your search results. It has to work in all of those places, so it is worth getting right before you print anything.
01
Keep it short and easy to say
Two or three syllables are easiest to remember and easiest to recommend. If a customer has to ask how to spell it, some of them will never type it in.
02
Say what you sell
A name that includes a word like cannabis tells a new visitor what you do before they read anything else. It also lines up with the words people already type into Google when they look for a shop nearby.
03
Check your local rules first
Licensing boards in many places have rules on names and branding. Confirm what is allowed where you operate before you commit, and ask your licensing contact if anything is unclear.
04
Match the name to a .com
Customers guess the web address from the name. When the two match, word of mouth turns straight into visits. A keyword domain can also be a brand by itself, so you do not have to choose between the two.
05
Leave room to grow
A name tied to one street or one product gets awkward when you add a second location or start delivery. Pick something broad enough for where you want to be in five years.
